FLAR’s Rise program is designed for elementary-aged youth (grades 3–5) who have been impacted by the foster care system—through foster care, adoption, kinship, guardianship, or related experiences. Rise creates a safe, supportive space for kids to build friendships, boost confidence, and connect with others who understand.

A parent or guardian is required to attend alongside their child, making Rise a meaningful opportunity for families to build community and feel supported together.

To keep the space focused and age-appropriate, Rise is for the registered 3rd-5th grader and one parent/guardian only – siblings who are not eligible are not able to attend. These meetups typically happen in the Mooresville and surrounding areas. Please keep an eye on the dates below for more info.
